wood with a difference

Flexible and transparent

With the design panel Dukta, Kolar, Brunn am Gebirge, offers a flexible and transparent wood product for indoor use. Dukta panels are wooden panels incised on one or two sides. The patented incision process increases the bending ability of the material. The panels are particularly suitable as wall and ceiling applications on straight or curved surfaces. Free-standing partition elements and furniture can also be made from it and opens us up to unusual visual aspects.

Dukta is available in four different milling types.  Results are of a different appearance and different property in terms of flexibility and sound absorption, depending on the milling pattern. There is a choice of materials for every taste. The use of the untreated Dukta panels of a spruce panel unlacquered, for example, underlines the naturalness of a room. If colour is desired, the MDF Color line offers a wide colour spectrum. Most recently, the flexible panels have also become available with digitally printed surfaces - ideal for commercial establishments.
As part of the opening of the Handwerk trade fair in Wels on March 15th , three companies were honoured for their innovations. Kolar convinced the jury with Dukta and took second place. "The product scores with the combination of a natural material with innovative processing and the resulting, diverse applications. Sophistication and originality are in the foreground of this smart material. Dukta offers versatile uses for modern interior design and thanks to the sound-absorbing effect, the material is also suitable for acoustically sensitive rooms", was the jury's justification.
