SHOPFITTING During the renovation of the fashion boutique Schild, the design panel Stepwood Original from Kolar was used

The renowned fashion boutique 'Schild' in the centre of Günzburg (Germany) is 130 years old.  Last year using the plans of the architectural firm Blocher Blocher Partners from Stuttgart, it was completely rebuilt and restructured. The architects staged each department in terms of the target audience and the respective range individually. The common element on all floors, walls and ceilings is natural materials like wood, metal and stone. Shapes, colours and different heights also create exciting spaces that invite you to explore and discover. On several floors, a total of more than 200 square meters of Kolar's Stepwood® original in sanded raw oak was used. 

For this project, more than 200m² Stepwood® original in sanded raw oak was laid vertically


The Design panel Stepwood is a versatile applicable material from single, staggered solid wooden slats. The material is available in different wood types and structures and is suitable for shopfitting as well as in interior design or furnishings. The company Baierl & Demmelhuber was responisble for the renovation of the fashion boutique.
